A game demo explores different "core" aesthetics. Inspired from an abandoned mall. This demo attracted of the VR social platform Rival, and I became one of their collaborative artist

Mood Board & Concept Art:

I drew inspiration from this abandoned mall in China. Green plants grow wildly, while there are traces showing human once there.

I researched some core aesthetics on malls and liminal spaces, accompanied with the game ‘Pools’. I wanted one level to be closer to life and another to be unreal.

I painted my ideas to see their outcomes.
